One of the most impactful things a teacher ever said to me was this:
“Practice doesn’t make perfect, necessarily. Perfection isn’t really the goal. But consider that practice makes permanent.”
This teacher was talking specifically about yoga practice, and the importance of showing up to the mat on a daily basis. He insisted that we show up not to execute flawless-looking poses, but to create a version of ourselves that we feel happy and at home with. This isn’t something you create in a day–it gets created in the process of things we do consistently.
December is a month that often brings us back to rituals and traditions that we’ve repeated year after year. In a year of so much unexpected change, many people find comfort in the stability of things like holiday decorating, baking, and connecting with loved ones.  On their own, these things seem small. But repeated year after year, they become far more than just free-time activities. These rituals bring us closer to a sense of who we are, how we relate to others, and what we value in our lives.
This kind of comforting rhythm doesn’t have to be limited to the holidays! Here at The Remedy, we aim to help people create a routine of self-care that allows them to function at their best, both for themselves and for the other people in their lives.  Seeing you becomes part of *our* routine–one we consistently look forward to!
This year is no different.
Well, that’s re-phrase that. This year IS different, but our commitment remains the same: we want to be a part of helping people create lasting wellness and happiness in their lives. 2020 just requires us to think about that in a new way!
Toward that end, we are excited to announce our 40 Day Self-Transformation Challenge, beginning January 5. This program will provide weekly group support in creating a routine that results in vibrant health. The program includes:
  • Weekly calls to help you establish a plan for your own health, dialing in the details on diet, exercise, rest and positive mindset and supporting you in reaching your goals
  • Unlimited access to our group fitness classes, including yoga, kettlebells, strength training, and some other surprises just for our Challenge participants.  (**we’re currently finishing up construction on our heated, outdoor studio space, so that we can safely offer more in-person classes! And of course, our online offerings will remain available, too)
  • Online discussion group for daily support and inspiration
Space is limited in this program. If you’d like more info on this program, please message Erin Hansbrough, the Remedy’s Wellness Center Director, at erin@theremedydayspa.com
