 JOBS at The Remedy Day Spa

Licensed Massage Therapist:

Responsible for performing multiple modalities of massage and body treatments for spa guests.  The Remedy Massage Therapist will be passionate about wellness, customer service and is an exceptional team player with a positive and professional attitude.

Essential Duties

  • Perform a wide range of massage and body treatments including, swedish, deep tissue, sports and prenatal massage
  • Obtain client health history through the use of client intake forms, assessing problems and conditions and consulting with clients about recommended treatments
  • Record detailed notes for all clients including contraindications, allergies, medications, formulations and treatment preferences
  • Maintain correspondence with clients by writing thank you notes following their visit
  • Participate in sales and marketing events both inside and outside the spa
  • Stay up-to-date and educated on spa retail lines and actively promoting products to clients
  • Completing side work, open and closing duties as directed by the Department Head or Manager
  • Dedication to staying up to date on current licensing changes and abide by all rules and regulations associated with licensure
  • ​Position requires a great deal of mobility, including walking, and lifting up to 20 lbs

Qualifications and Experience

  • State of New Mexico Massage Therapy License
  • Flexible Schedule
  • Natural ability to sell and educate clients on products and treatments
  • 2 + Years of experience in Massage Therapy
  • Spa experience a plus

 

Licensed Nail Technician:

Responsible for performing a full spectrum of luxury manicure and pedicure services for spa guests. The Remedy Nail Technician will be an exceptional team player with great attention to detail and enthusiasm to grow and retain a clientele, while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

Essential Duties

  • Perform a wide range of nail care services including, impeccable manicure, pedicure and massage
  • Maintain correspondence with clients by writing thank you notes following their visit
  • Participate in sales and marketing events both inside and outside the spa
  • Stay up-to-date and educated on spa retail lines and actively promoting products to clients
  • Dedication to achieving and maintaining a retail to service sales ratio
  • Complete side work, open and closing duties as directed by the Department Head or Manager
  • Dedication to staying up to date on current licensing changes and abide by all rules and regulations associated with licensure
  • ​Position requires a great deal of mobility, including walking, and lifting up to 20 lbs

Qualifications and Experience

  • State of New Mexico Cosmetology or Manicurist License
  • Must have flexible schedule
  • Natural ability to sell and educate clients on products and treatments
  • Experience with Spa Ritual product line a plus

 

Licensed Esthetician:

Responsible for performing a full spectrum of facial and waxing services for spa clients designed to make each client’s visit the singular best customer experience. The Remedy Esthetician will be an exceptional team player with great attention to detail and ability to focus in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

Essential Duties

  • Perform a wide range of facial and waxing services following The Remedy protocols
  • Obtain client health history through the use of client intake forms, assessing problems and conditions and consulting with clients about recommended treatments
  • Record detailed notes for all clients including contraindications, allergies, medications, formulations and treatment preferences
  • Maintain correspondence with clients by writing thank you notes following their visit
  • Participate in sales and marketing events both inside and outside the spa
  • Stay up to date with training and education on skincare and spa lines while proactively promoting products to clients
  • Dedication to achieving and maintaining a retail to service sale ratio
  • Complete side work, open and closing duties as directed by the Department Head or Manager
  • Dedication to staying up to date on current licensing changes and abide by all rules and regulations associated with licensure
  • ​Position requires a great deal of mobility, including walking, and lifting up to 20 lbs

Qualifications and Experience

  • State of New Mexico Esthetics License
  • Must have schedule availability to include evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Natural ability to sell and educate clients on products and treatments
  • Experience with Kerstin Florian or Intraceuticals product line a plus

 

Spa Supervisor:

Full-Time, Salaried

The Remedy Spa Supervisor performs a full spectrum of duties, contributing to an exceptional client experience, employee satisfaction and the financial health of the business.

Duties can include:

Customer service:

  • Client recovery and follow-up with clients and appropriate team members.
  • Supervison of front desk staff, ensuring the team is fully trained, and operating fully according to The Remedy policies and guidelines. The Supervisor will also attend to and assist with any front desk or back of house needs

Retail:

  • Work with Leadership to conduct and manage monthly inventory and loss prevention.
  • Review reporting functions to analyze inventory management, sales and loss.
  • Participate in setting retail goals for staff and creating contests and motivation to support retail goals.
  • Ensure that retail shelves are dusted and stocked, provide daily motivation for team including role playing retail sales scenarios with staf to ensure goals are met.

Management:

  • Participating in preparing and delivering performance reviews and feedback to spa staff.
  • Participate in staff meetings, coordinating with Leadership to ensure attendance.
  • Create a motivational environment for staff by communicating contests for daily/pay period/monthly/quarterly goals and tracking + communicating successes and opportunities.
  • Monitor key metrics and staff performance.
  • Display a professional attitude and maintaining composure; provide the team with a positive and motivating work environment and leading by example.
  • Possess the ability to pinpoint morale issues and areas of opportunity within the team, maintaining communication with Leadership and collaborating on solutions.
  • Work shifts ‘on the floor’, acting as a liaison between all staff with various hours of daily admin work to be performed when available.
  • Work closely with staff and leadership for daily changes to therapists’ and clients’ service schedule and communicating immediate changes to the correct person.
  • Forecast schedule, identify problems and solve proactively
  • Assist in calculating and updating business goals.

Training:

  • Work closely with Leadership to ensure spa protocols and company standards are maintained
  • Actively participate in overseeing training for new hires, communicating status of new hire training with team and participate in creating action plans for anyone needing additional support

Human Resources:

  • Interpret the policies and procedures as set forth by the Employee Handbook. Collaborate with Managers to enforce, document and discuss opportunities with staff as they apply to the Employee Handbook.
  • Participate in interview training to understand the DOs and DON’Ts as well as to hone in on the skills needed to assess candidates for potential hires.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • A passion for the spa/salon/wellness industry
  • 2-3 years of experience in management of a customer service driven environment, preferably spa industry
  • Availability and willingness to work a traditional retail schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings
  • Ability to collaborate with a team in many areas with excellent communication skills
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment where every day is different
  • Acumen to problem solve both client and staff challenges as presented throughout their shift
  • Aptitude to prioritize tasks to ensure that clients, staff and duties are taken care of in a timely manner
